Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising

Pay per Click (PPC) advertising is part of Google Adwords, which allows you to place your adverts on the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) for you to compete with other sites who dominate the natural / organic listings.

These ads appear either above or on the right of the natural listings with you paying a cost per click (CPC).

How PPC works?

Basically you are bidding for a keyword or phrase that will place an advert consisting of a title, description and link to convert users in customers. The price you pay for keywords are dependent on the demand as this is a bidding process. The higher the bid, the higher your position on the search results pages.

You can expect to pay more for terms like “guest accommodation” than a keyphrase like “window washer”.

The benefits of PPC?

The benefits of PPC is that your traffic is targeted, people searching these keywords or phrases are looking for a product or service, so once they click through to your site you should convert them into sales.
